What You Need to Know

SANDBANKS STYLE

  1. General

Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfill all your items at time of purchase. In this instance, we will fulfill the available products to you, and contact you about whether you would prefer to await restocking of the backordered item or if you would prefer for us to process a refund.

Orders placed before 02 PM - GMT will be dispatched the same day, otherwise, within the next business day.

 

Our warehouse operates on Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays at which time the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum.

 

  1. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on the order value and destination of the items in the order. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase.

Everything You Need to Know

SANDBANKS STYLE

Refunds on unused goods

Our policy lasts 30 days for unused goods. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

 

Refunds on used goods

If you have used your product and were not satisfied then we can still offer you a refund provided 14 days have not gone by since your purchase. To be eligible for this refund the board and all accessories must be in the same condition you received them in.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

If you purchased directly through Sandbanks Style please do not send your purchase back to another shop that sells our goods.

Refunds 

We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-10 days.

Late or missing refunds 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@sandbanksstyle.com and we will be in touch and arrange the shipping for you.

If you have changed your mind need a different sized and would like to swap an unused product for another size or colour then please notify us at info@sandbanksstyle.com before posting back to us at the address below.

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 266 Sandbanks Road, Lilliput, BH14 8HA, United Kingdom.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable (unless the item is deemed faulty)

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

FATSTICK

60 DAY RETURNS

All products can be returned at any time within 60 days of purchase if you’re not entirely happy with them. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to return the item back to the FatStick HQ in the same condition it was received in at their own cost. We will routinely inspect the item within 7 days and if it has been used or damaged we regret to inform you that we will not be able to refund you for the item.

RED

WHAT ITEMS ARE RETURNABLE?

Orders outside of this window will fall within our normal 30-day period of receiving your products.

  • Clothing should be unworn, unwashed and in its original packaging with its labelling intact and attached still to the product.

  • Equipment should be un-used and with its original packaging and / or labelling intact and attached to the product. 

  • Items which don't have the labelling attached to the product will incur a 10% reconditioning charge which we will notify you after inspection of your return. If we do not hear back from you within 4 days of contact we will return the items to you. 

Free gifts or promotional items are not returnable!

All items are inspected before a refund is processed.

Items deemed to be in a poor condition will be returned to you.

If any item returned breaches any of the terms outlined in this policy, we reserve the right to return the item back to you in the same condition it was received in.

 

EXCHANGES

We do not offer exchanges at this time, if you want a different size, please return your unwanted item and place another order.

ARE THERE ANY CHARGES FOR RETURN?

  • YES - FOR ORDERS UNDER £75.00, UK orders using the Yodel label provided will be deducted £4.95 for the return. Or you can choose an alternative courier to return your items - prices will vary. Royal Mail Tracked Medium parcel costs start at around £5.30. 

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable. So if you paid for Next Day tracked shipping and have returned your item using the Yodel label you could have up to £9.90 deducted from your refund. 

  • If sending back to us using your own method, please remember to send your package by recorded delivery as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit to us. 

  • If you took advantage of a promotion including free items (for example buy X get Y free, or free X with Y) then the free items must also be returned. If you fail to return your free gift you will be charged for the free items that you have received. 

  • NO - ORDERS OVER £75.00, THERE IS NO CHARGE TO RETURN

HOW SOON WILL I GET MY REFUND?

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Refunds can only be offered for items received back within 30 days after delivery, in a new (unused) condition with all labels still attached to the product (dont worry if the integrity of the out wrapping has been compromised during opening. 

  • Items that don't have the original lables still attached will be charged a 10% reconditioning fee which will be deducted from your refund. We will notify you if this is required and will not action this until we hear back from you. If we don't hear back from you within 4 working days we will return the items to you with no refund.

  • If you took advantage of a promotion including free items (for example buy X get Y free, or free X with Y) then the free items must also be returned. If you fail to return your free gift you will be charged for the free items that you have received

WARRANTY INFORMATION

RED

RED PADDLE CO WARRANTY GUIDELINES

We offer the possibility to extend the standard 1 year warranty to a 5 year warranty for each board bought from the 2022/23, 2021 and 2020 ranges. Just like our 2 year warranty that was available on 2018 and 2019 boards, we require you, the customer to register your board with us via our website within 3 months of purchase to activate the extended warranty.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Red Paddle Co warrants all Red Paddle Co boards and Paddles sold by Red Paddle Co to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified on the product. Depending on the model year of the board it may qualify for an extended warranty. See the Extended 5 Year Warranty section below for full details of the extended warranty program.

If a product is found to be defective by Red Paddle Co, in its sole discretion, Red Paddle Co’s only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product.

Red Paddle Co will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss of use of product. This warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law.

1. The warranty applies only to Red Paddle Co products purchased from Authorized Red Paddle Co Dealers and is valid for the original purchaser only. Transfers of warranty is not possible.

2. Any products that we request to be returned to Red Paddle Co for warranty inspection must receive prior return authorisation, which can be given over an email by contacting team@redpaddleco.com . If shipping products directly we recommend using a tracked/insured service. Red Paddle Co assumes no responsibility for products during shipment from the customer to our Warranty Department. Shipping charges are not refundable.

  • Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.

  • Damage caused by improper packing.

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.

  • Damage Caused by excessive UV/Heat Exposure (shown by distinct yellow glue staining around seams or fading of parts such as fins and logos)

  • Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives.

  • Damage to Red Paddle Co products caused by non-Red Paddle Co products. 

  • Any and all claims for consequential or incidental damages.

 

3. All coverage under this warranty is void if any modification, change or alteration has been made to the product that is not specifically authorized in writing by Red Paddle Co.

4. Any repaired or replaced boards will be covered for the remainder of the extended warranty period, starting from the original purchase date. All boards will have a minimum 12-month warranty.

5. New and unused boards purchased via our 'Refresh' betterment programme will be covered by a maximum of a 24-month warranty regardless of registration status. The exact warranty period is at the sole discretion of Red Paddle Co and may change on a case-by-case basis.

6. All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt from an Authorized Red Paddle Co dealer. Invoice or charge receipt must clearly identify the dealer.

7. Extended warranties are only applicable for private, end consumer use and will not be offered for any commercial purchases, such as SUP schools or similar.

This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your legal rights under laws.

8. Warranties and/or product replacements are only applicable/redeemable in the original country of purchase.

EXTENDED 5 YEAR WARRANTY

2022/23, 2021 and 2020 Red Paddle Co Boards can be covered under the 5 year warranty program. 2022, 2021 and 2020 boards can be identified by their serial number at the back of the board. The serial number must start with Red 20, 21, 22,23.

For the avoidance of doubt it is only 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 Red Paddle Co inflatable SUP boards that qualify to be covered by the 5 Year Extended Warranty and not paddles, leashes, bags, fins or any other accessory or boards from previous model years.

For your board to qualify for the full 5 year warranty, 2020 boards need to have been purchased between 7th October 2019 and 6th October 2020 and registered within 3 months of the date on your original receipt. For 2021 boards to qualify for a full 5-year warranty, they need to be purchased between 7th October 2020 and 17th October 2021 and registered within 3 months of the date on your original receipt. For 2022/23 boards they need to be purchased between 18th October 2021 and 7th October 2023 and registered within 3 months of the date on your original receipt.

2020 model year boards purchased after the 6th October 2020, 2021 boards purchased after the 6th October 2021, or 2022 boards purchased after 7th October 2023 will be covered for the remaining period of the original 5 Year period and must be registered within 3 months of the original purchase.

Only brand new, unused boards qualify for this program and not Ex Demo boards. The Red Paddle Co 5-year warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship.

The boards are covered under warranty, to the original owner with proof of purchase from an authorized Red Paddle Co retailer, against defects in materials and craftsmanship.

If your product should fail during the extended warranty period due to defects in materials or craftsmanship, we will repair it free of charge or replace it at our discretion.

Normal wear and tear damage, damage caused by misuse, cosmetic damage, improper care or impacts/accidents are not covered by this warranty. Wear and tear is natural and inevitable damage as a result of normal use and exposure to the elements.

Losses or costs incurred as a result of loss of use are not covered. The product’s lifetime depends on how well it’s taken care of and how much use it gets. Outdoor adventures can be rough on your gear and taking care of your equipment will increase the lifetime of the product.

PREVIOUS YEARS BOARDS

  •  2008 - 2017 model year boards.

  • New Boards manufactured in between the above periods were sold with a 1 year warranty for the original purchaser.

  • Boards with one year warranties carried one of the following serial number prefixes:

  • Red13, Red14, Red15, Red16, Red17

  • Boards made between 2008 and October 2012 did not carry serial numbers.

  • Boards made between October 2013 - October 2015 had their serial number printed on the leash point at the back of the board and started with Red followed by the year of the board e.g Red13 = 2013 board, Red14 = 2014 board.

  • Boards made after October 2016 either had their serial number printed on the leash point at the back of the board or on a small white strip next to the valve.

  • October 8th 2017 - October 6th 2019 Boards manufactured/purchased in between these periods and with either a serial number starting with Red18 or Red19 were sold with a 1 year warranty for the original purchaser but this could be extended to 2 years if the board was registered within 3 months of original purchase and no later than 6th July 2020.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Inflatable Paddle Boards

We are so confident in the high level of construction of our Inflatable Paddle Boards (ISUPS) that ISUP purchases made from 15/11/19 will now have a warranty for 5 years starting from when the board package is received (ISUPs purchased before this date have a 1 year warranty). The return postage will be covered by Fatstick ltd for the first 3 months. Thereafter the customer is responsible for returning the board to our warehouse at their own cost.

Upon return of the board package it will be routinely inspected within 14 days of receipt and the board will be refunded, replaced or repaired accordingly. Please kindly note Fatstick Ltd will only offer refund for the first 12 months of the warranty and thereafter repair or replace the returned board. Please note it could take up to 30 days to repair or replace your board after inspection. Board replacement is also dependent on stock availability.

Further Warranty Information;

Warranty exceptions on the the Board;

  • Boards purchased from non-authorised Fatstick retailers.

  • Boards purchased in used condition.

  • Any customer modifications to the board.

  • Damage caused by impact with any objects (example sand, stones, rocks, docks etc).

  • Damage caused by miss use of the board.

  • Damage caused by normal wear and tear and being outside in the sun for extended periods.

  • Damage caused by transport (loading, unloading, dropping) this includes marks left by transport straps.

  • Damage caused by inappropriate storage in temperatures over 30°C.

  • Damage, bubbles or de-lamination of board and/or deck pad caused by over-heating as a result of exposure to direct sunlight.

  • Damage caused by wave impact and/or impact with ocean/lake floor.

  • Damage or marks on the board caused by storage of the board in closed, damp bag.

  • Damage to fin or fin box caused by impact with another object such as river bed, sea bed etc.

The paddle, pump, bag, leash and fins that come as part of the inflatable paddle board package will be covered for 12 months after the date of purchase due to the hard nature of their use.

Warranty exclusions of paddle;

  • Warranty does not cover any damage caused by impacts of paddle with hard surfaces such as sea/river bed.

  • Does not cover damage caused by misuse of paddle.

  • Breakage of quick release clip by over-tightening the paddle connector.

Warranty exclusions of storage bag;

  • Does not cover fading of material from sunlight.

  • Does not cover any damage to bag from dragging the bag along any surface (this includes damage to underside of bag whilst wheeling the bag along).

  • Does not cover webbing straps being broken by pulling, securing or carrying the bag using the webbing straps.

  • Does not cover the zip being broken by excessive force applied to zip.

Warranty exclusions of hand pump;

  • Does not cover miss-use of the pump.

  • Does not cover if the pump is not regularly serviced (eg regular lubrication of the pump cylinder)

  • Does not cover accidental loss of certain components of the pump such as rubber washers etc

Warranty exclusions of the leash and waist leash;

  • Miss use of the leash

  • Using the leash in surf zones

Warranty exclusions of the fins;

  • Miss use of the fins.

  • Breakage of fin my hitting any object such as river/sea bed.

  • Breaking fin or fin box whilst standing on the board whilst the board is out of water.

  • Accidently loosing your fin bolt/nut or clip.

The inflatable paddle board warranty is not transferable.

Hard Boards Warranty   

Hard boards have a 12 month warranty from date of purchase. A refund, repair or replacement of the item will be made accordingly. The warranty will not cover;

  • Accidental damage (such as a ding or scratch on the board).

  • Miss-use of the product.

  • Damage to the fin box by impact with any objects

  • Water damage or delamination of the board by water entering the vent plug whilst vent plug is not fully secure. 

  •  Getting the item back to the FatStick HQ will be the responsibility of the customer.

All other items warranty;

  • Will not cover miss-use

  • Will not cover any accidental damage
